The Aftershock Review is live on Substack—and we need you with us.
Made from bed. Built by community. This is poetry that fights back. Subscribers, readers, friends, mages, bards, barbarians, clerics, paladins, poets! We need you!
This is the magazine I’ve poured myself into the last half-year—alongside some of the fiercest poets writing today. It’s a space for work that ruptures, glows, survives. A space for grief, tenderness, queerness, fury, aftermath. A space that doesn’t flinch. But most of all - these are brilliant poets, astonishing poems, and voices that demand your eyes (and ears).
We raised over 7k in Crowdfunder donations and outside support.

💥 We’ll be publishing poems
💬 Interviewing the poets behind them (TBC).
🎧 And sharing audio (including poet voiceovers + mine, where permissions allow)
🖥️ We’re using accessible formats: sans fonts, VO. And if budgets and income allow dyslexic font print editions, too.
I’ll still be writing here—but I’d love you to follow us over there, too. It’s the kind of project that only grows with community, with readers who care, with voices that demand more.
